AI READINESS & GOVERNANCE

AI Readiness & Governance

Before AI touches your operations, you need three answers: where it will actually pay, whether your data and processes are ready for it, and who is accountable when it gets something wrong. We give you all three — then help you implement AI where it earns its place.

WHAT IT IS

Ready before you roll out.
Governed once you do.

Most AI pilots fail for reasons that have nothing to do with the model: messy data, undefined processes, and nobody deciding what the tool is allowed to do. AI Readiness & Governance is where practical AI implementation starts — an AI readiness assessment, an AI use case assessment with a real business case behind each one, and an AI policy that keeps adoption safe. ¶ No hype, and no forcing tools in where they don’t belong.

Technology is only an instrument. Our job isn’t to sell you software — it’s to find the right instrument for your situation.

WHEN YOU NEED IT

When You Need an AI Readiness Assessment

You need this when AI is already being used in the business without a plan, when nobody can say where AI fits, or when an AI pilot failed to show any return.

  1. 01

    People are already using AI

Staff paste client data into public tools because nobody has said what is allowed. The risk exists whether you have an AI policy or not.

  2. 02

An AI pilot with no ROI

You ran an experiment that produced a decent demo, some interesting insights, and no measurable return.

  3. 03

Nobody can say where AI fits

You keep asking where you can use AI in your business, and nobody has shown you which processes — or what they’re worth.

HOW WE APPROACH IT

Readiness and return first.
Tools second.

We look at your real workflows, your data and your risk exposure, then identify the AI use cases that pay, set the rules for using them — and only then choose the technology.

  1. 01

    Assess AI readiness

Data quality, process maturity, systems and skills — what your business can support now, and what needs groundwork first.

  2. 02

    Identify AI use cases

An AI opportunity assessment of your operations: which business processes AI can automate, and the ROI of each.

  3. 03

    Set AI governance

An AI policy your team can follow: approved tools, what data may go where, where a human stays in the loop, and who owns each decision.

  4. 04

    Evaluate tools and vendors

Vendor-independent AI tool evaluation — build or buy, off-the-shelf tools or AI agents — compared on cost, capability and data exposure.

  5. 05

    Pilot, measure, then scale

One use case, integrated into an existing workflow and tested against real work, with AI ROI measured before anything rolls out further.

WHAT YOU GET

What You Get

A straight answer on readiness and return — before you commit budget.

  • An AI readiness assessment

Where your data, processes and systems stand, and what needs fixing before AI can help.

  • A prioritised AI use-case shortlist

Where AI fits your business, the business case for each use case — and where AI doesn’t fit at all.

  • An AI policy and governance framework

Approved tools, data rules, human-in-the-loop checkpoints and clear ownership, written for the people who use it.

  • An objective AI tool evaluation

Which tools or approach will do the job most efficiently, compared side by side so you can weigh them.

  • A measured pilot

The first AI automation, integrated into an existing workflow and tested on real cases, with the result stated in hours and cost.

WHAT CHANGES FOR YOU

What Changes For You

Without it

AI arrives through the back door — unapproved tools, client data in places it shouldn’t be, and pilots that impress in a demo and quietly disappear before they reach the work that actually costs you.

With it

AI adoption becomes governed and dependable. You know where AI pays, your team knows what is allowed, and every rollout is backed by a measured return instead of the hype.

FAQ

AI readiness and governance questions we get asked

What does an AI readiness assessment cover?

Four things: the quality and accessibility of your data, how well defined the target processes are, whether your systems can connect to AI tools, and whether your team has the skills and rules to use them safely. You get a clear view of what is possible now and what needs groundwork first.

Why do we need AI governance if we’re a small business?

Because the risk doesn’t scale with company size. If staff are pasting client or commercial data into public AI tools, the exposure is already there. A short, practical AI policy — approved tools, data rules, human review points — removes most of it.

How do you measure AI ROI?

Against a baseline taken before the pilot: hours spent, turnaround time, error rate and cost for the workflow in question. The pilot is judged on the same numbers, so the AI business case is proven on your work rather than on a vendor’s demo.

Do you also implement the AI?

Yes, once readiness is clear — and only for use cases with a measured return, integrated into your existing software and workflows. If AI isn’t the right answer, we say so and point at what would actually fix the problem, often workflow redesign or systems integration.

Not sure which one you need?

That’s exactly the right starting point. Book a first consultation and we’ll show you where your operations are slowing you down or costing more than they should — and what’s worth fixing first.
